    If you like the SUpreme 7000's then yea, go with them. Otherwise try on some different ones until you find something else. You have to learn to adapt a little to new skates, but yea, some feel better right away than others...

  • I have V4's right now, and they were alot stiffer in the thigh than all my previous pads, but somehow it felt OK. There was something of an S-curve, and I guess there's an internal break. I tried newer V6 and V7's, and while they are a little stiffer, the thigh still seems OK in general. I know this...

  • I finally went to the local pro shop last week and tried on the R/GT set...and was kind of disappointed Mostly disappointed with the thigh-rise on the leg pads. They were too tall and stiff (and it was the same 34+1 as my current V4's). No S-curve happening there at all. Felt like no internal break...

  • Yea, it's called a backplate, AFAIK. I don't know where you can buy spare parts for Vaughn masks, but try asking a Vaughn dealer. Not sure I've ever seen backplates sold seperately, but who knows. Otherwise, you'd probably just have to buy a whole new mask.
