  • All Star Game TV Ratings

    hey guys,

Anybody hear any word on how the all star game this year....? This si all I could find ...

"Ratings for the NHL All-Star Game were up from 0.54 percent of homes with Versus last year to 0.76"

Almost a full share (not bad considering here in MN the highest rated sports show was a 3.1)

I was curious if this was an accurate %, and what sort of leap this is for the league...

Not bad since it was on a still obscure cable only channel?

if they would have done some advertising on the network stations it probably would have been even better.

Someone needs to talk Turner into buying a team and falling in love with the sport. It'll get so much publicity it'd be nuts (see MLB Braves and NBA).

The sad thing is that this makes Bettman look good.

my favorite part was Manny calling out bettman with the "you gotta quick taken away inches" and bettman trying to make excuses....

              yes. looksgood
              but lets compare

last year the numbers were so low cause it was a mid week game against regular prime time TV in the states

of course it had bad numbers

follow that up with a sunday evening game that has no TV time competitions as NFL is on their playoff break.

              No **** it did better.

compare that to years before that and maybe we'll be talking

Ratings would've been through the roof had Sidney played. You know... the fan girls and all

And your point is what? The facts you point at least show that someone up the ladder of the NHL is learning.
