  • Heat molding Vaughn V 7500 pro catcher?

I have just ordered a new set of vaughn v7500 pro pads and gloves and I read that you can get the catcher heat molded to your hand. I was just wondering if anybody has done this, and if it is a smart idea or not and what the pros vs. cons would be.

    Thanks.

If you can, put it in a skate bake for about 3 minutes at first and then try it on (be careful if it is hot!). I usually open and close it for a couple of minutes to help break in the glove (my glove had the pro palm so I did this a couple of times). There was one time I left it in for too long and the leather tightened over the cuff for a little while.

I put mine in the skate oven for 3.5 minutes then put it on and cranked all the straps. Feels like it was custom made now
