Logo removal?

Anyone know of a way to remove the logos from gear (pads and gloves)? In particular, Vaughn logos. Are they simply heat transfers? Would heat get them back off?

I'd love to know this myself. I'm looking at a few sets of used pads, and most have decaying or destroyed logos; it'd be great to scrape off the remnants without damaging the material on the face of the pad.

And as a side question, does anyone know of a place (particularly within the GTA) that would *add* custom logos to a pad? I barely have the money to pay for the gear I'm getting, but that'd be something neat to do if I ended up with a fat graduate scholarship, or at least some plump little bursary.

I have a v2 blocker and i removed the "velocity" on the side of th eblocker, the velocity2 logo on the front of the blocker, and the "velocity" on the front of the blocker.

Just all i did was take a cotton ball with nail polish remover, rub the edge of the wording, and then use my nails and peel it up. With little parts that didnt come off by pulling it, i just used the cotton ball with nail polish remover and rub hard enough to not damage the leather by any means, but to remove the the rest of the words. Heres some pics of how the blocker looks now without the logos:

Thanks, Buffay - that sounds plenty gentle enough. Nice, clean looking blocker you've got there.

I have a big bottle of nail polish remover sitting on my desk.....

Should i remove the logo "VAUGHN" on my blocker, as well as the TPS on my summit glove? I was thinking about it to make them look larger and cleaner....thoughts....

If I need nail polish remover, the wife's medicine chest is a mere lunge away...

Frankly, I think the logo-less white weave look would be very, very slick. The patterning isn't identical, but it has a sort of pleasantly complimentary geometry.

Duke's has a set of all-white TPS Hasek gloves on eBay rigth now, and they're pretty darn nifty-lookin'.

Link.

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my pads buffay, The glove seems like a good plan too.

Do you use the nail polish remover to get rid of puck marks too? Mr. Clean erasers dont seem to take off roller puck marks. I've scrubbed the heck out of my pads with one, and with goo gone, and to no avail.

that looks great!!! I'm jealous, as I tried to do the same to my new C-10's (didn't realize how huge the Sher-Wood logos are) but to no avail as they wouldn't budge.

Nail polish remover is basically acetone. Acetone melts plastic. It's what clubmaker's use to mold and turn those plastic rings above the head on golf clubs.

I'd be very, very careful with it. Some vinyl/plastic is resistent, some is not.

Mr clean erasers sucked as i have majority weave. The nail polish remover wipes it right away.

I went over my logos on my c10s with the nail polish remover and nothing happened either. It must be a really good ink or a screen on thing in disguise

Icic, I have weave as well, the nail polish remover isn't to harsh and doesn't hurt the material? Sounds like a clean session on the pads is in order

What can be used to neutralize the nail polish remover once you're done?
